Greenhills is located under 7km from Mt Stromlo Observatory and just 20 minutes by road from the heart of the Canberra CBD. The address is 1437 Cotter Rd Stromlo.
Accommodation is available at a very reasonable rate of $50 for the night of the first day of the conference. It is mostly bunk style accommodation. Bring your own linen -pillowcases, sheets, towel. Pillows and blankets are provided. All rooms have showers and toilet facilities. You will need to provide your own evening meal and breakfast. Several shared kitchenettes are available with a fridge, microwave, tea and coffee, cups, plates and cutlery but no stovetop to cook on. There is a large BBQ area for cooking. Please remember Greenhills is a nut free site. The closest supermarket / fast food is at Weston creek; about 20 mins drive away.

Sessions 2 streams of sessions – 1 stream on helpful topics for homeschoolers, 2nd stream with encouraging topics for mums/families with a Christian emphasis. Opportunity to ask questions, find support and mentoring.
Resources A short session on the first day to buy sell swap, give away… an opportunity to support parents on lower incomes with their home-ed journey as well as to feel like you’re wisely recycling your old resources. Second day, a full morning to meet the vendors of various home ed curriculum providers to discuss your schooling methods and to choose what suits your child/family.
Canberra Class providers. We have some amazing classes for home-ed children in Canberra. Meet some of these providers and sign up for Robotics, Hebrew or Kinder music classes….
You can bring your children! With great activities for them including water activities run by Greenhills staff the first day and optional team initiatives the second day. Appropriate supervision and activities for children during all day-time sessions from little ones to teens. Let them meet new friends and have a great time.
Spiritual growth Encouragement from the word and an evening service. Do you need help? Options for families to sign up for prophetic ministry from the main speaker and/or prayer from a local pastor and his wife.Disability Support Parents of children with disability session to share stories and helpful knowledge with other mums. Find out who can help you support your child/ren.
Greenhills is a nut free site. This includes almond milk. Dietary needs will be catered to by the Greenhills chefs as much as possible. If you have complex needs please call Greenhills directly 02 62881074.
In case of emergency Greenhills staff will work with our Committee members to access the situation and act appropriately. Our group leaders will support Greenhills staff to follow their site emergency procedures.
